Dragon and the holy jewel

Painting a live and powerful Dragon is a quiet chalnge. Here I painted a Dragon with a glaring look toward the observer, while protecting its Manju ( 満珠 - tide jewel ) , a powerful holy jewel hidden in the depth of the sea. The Japapese folklore says that the dragon controls the hige tides and the low tides by this powerful stone. The origin of the the Manju is from hindi myths (Cintāmaṇi), which was later adopted in the Chinese Buddhist Folklore as Wisdom Jewel or as Wish Jewel, and it is described as a pure white huge round pearl.
